Thermaflo Engineering Company Clean Steam Generators are unfired package systems designed to produce clean steam from plant boilers, steam or high temperature hot water, for use in steam systems where normal plant steam with boiler chemicals, dirt, or scale cannot be tolerated such as hospital humidification, food processes, sterilizers, and pharmaceutical applications.

The feedwater to the units is filtered, deionized or reverse osmosis so that the resulting steam vapor is pure or clean.

 
The plant steam is supplied to an inner tube bundle mounted inside a ASME code “UB” stamped shell. A control valve on the plant steam supply senses the shell “clean side” pressure and feeds plant steam into the tube side. The tube side heat energy converts the shell side “clean steamwater” into the "clean system vapor”. All Clean Steam Generators have the following standard features:
