PTP Valve

The Thermaflo Engineering Company Type PTP valve is a unique single-seated balanced trim type steam regulating valve that precisely controls outlet steam pressure and features an internal soft seat that provides dead-tight shutdown and fail-safe operation.

The balanced trim feature allows the PTP to control the steam pressure over a 100:1 flow turndown ratio and a 50:1 steam reduction inlet to outlet pressure ratio with perfect satisfaction. In addition, the inner control valve trim in a regulator body provides much higher CVs than normal regulators, so smaller valves can be used in many applications.

Totally self-contained, the PTP requires no external source of control signal, pneumatic, or electronic power for operation. The external pilot valve is adjusted to the desired outlet pressure for set-and-forget operation.

Several spring ranges are available as indicated. These features make the PTP an excellent choice for reducing steam pressure in all Industrial and HVAC-type applications where steam flow requirements vary and the precise control of outlet pressure is essential.
