Thermaflo FFT145/200/300 Series Ball Float Steam Trap

Thermaflo Ball Float steam traps are mechanical traps that use a buoyant spherical ball float to automatically open and close a valve discharge seat, making them ideal for continuous condensate discharge at steam temperature in steam systems without any “Live Steam Loss”
Key Features:
Spherical Stainless Ball Float Design – The float rotates during operation, allowing any point on its surface to act as a steam valve seal, which distributes wear and extends service life unlike lever action float and thermostatic traps
Thermostatic Air Vent – Discharges both cool and hot air automatically, ensuring the fast startups and eliminating air binding. The “fail open” design keeps the valve open in case of failure
Compact, Low-Maintenance Cast Steel Construction – No levers or complex mechanisums; only one moving part a polished stainless steel ball float to reduce wear and simplify maintenance.
Large Backpressure Tolerance – Operates reliably against condensate backpressures, making it suitable for a wide range of process and main drip applications.
Integral Perforated Strainer – Protects internals with a stainless steel screen, ensuring trouble-free operation.
Material of Construction – Available in cast steel for the most demanding applications
Wide Capacity Range – 145 psig / 200 psig model and an optional 300 psig model to cover most main drip drying cylinders, unit heaters and light heat exchangers applications
Benefits:
Improved Process Efficiency – Adjusts instantly to condensate flow changes, ensuring rapid discharge and maximum heating performance
Energy Conservation – Valve orifice below water level prevents any Live Steam Discharge
Long Service Life – Infinite contact surfaces on the ball and protective internals reduce wear and maintenance needs
Ease of Maintenance – Inline access to all internals simplifies cleaning and reduces downtime
