Thermodynamic Steam Trap

The ThermaFlo MDT421 Thermodynamic Steam Trap is engineered to efficiently remove condensate from small heat exchangers, steam line drip legs, tracers, and other applications where condensate must be discharged at or near steam temperature. Designed for reliable performance in demanding steam systems, the MDT421 helps maintain system efficiency while preventing the accumulation of condensate that can reduce heat transfer and damage equipment.

Manufactured from durable stainless steel, the trap features expanded flash chambers that enhance thermal efficiency and contribute to a longer service life. Its design ensures no live steam loss, maximizing system energy efficiency. The MDT421 is also resistant to water hammer and vibration, allowing it to perform reliably in challenging operating conditions. A hardened stainless steel disc provides smooth, intermittent discharge and ensures tight shutoff between cycles. The trap is available with NPT screwed connections in accordance with ANSI B1.20.1, and flanged connections manufactured to ANSI B16 class standards, providing flexible installation options for a variety of steam system configurations.
